PETIQUETTE CAMPAIGNS
Petiquette is a combination of "Pet" and "Etiquette," advocating for proper behavior and manners
related to pets. Dogphobia arises from pet owners' minor negligence. The solution also lies in
practicing basic etiquette as pet owners. Some places have enacted "dog bite laws," and in some
cases, dangerous dogs are euthanized after causing accidents. Globally, the punishment regulations
are often lax, and cases where owners who violate regulations are properly penalized lead to many
incidents. While defining "dangerous dogs" before punishment is also an issue, the urgent measure is
accident prevention, not just punishment.
Let's Participate in Creating a Petiquette-Compliant and Proper Pet Culture
Do you smoke or use marijuana in front of your pet?
Pets have a maximum lifespan of about 20 years. The sensitive noses of pets can be harmed by
addiction and health issues.
Take responsibility until the end:
Pets are not disposable items.
Please immediately clean up your pet's waste on the streets or in parks during walks.
Be considerate of your neighbors:
Consider the sounds, odors, and shedding that may bother your neighbors. Be mindful that some
neighbors might dislike or fear pets.
Use a leash and identification tag:
Use a leash of appropriate length that does not cause discomfort to others. Also, have an
identification tag with the pet owner's name and contact information in case of unforeseen
incidents.
Register your pet with iris or paw prints:
Registering your pet with iris or paw prints makes it easier to find them in case they go missing
and allows for pet owner verification.
By following these guidelines and participating in the Petiquette Campaign, we can create a culture
where pets and people coexist harmoniously and safely.
